  • This is a lovely story told with clarity and energy. I can see the place in my own imagination. The colds and the woolly hats were never a part of my own wild summer holidays, but I can just see you sneezing, walking and be-hatted. I love being able to read your stories, and you inspire me to write some too.

A quick peek into the book

" I nostalgically envisaged the lush green hills and dales of a country that was once known as the Island of Saints and Scholars. Ireland has birthed many renowned poets, writers, storytellers and musicians who have bared their souls to share their universally resonant narratives. ‘Surely I could satisfy my desire for inner riches in the Emerald Isle?’ I thought."
" When we become expert at reframing our stories, at retrieving our gifts from their hiding places, at laughing at ourselves, at appreciating poignant moments and being grateful for the smallest kindnesses, that is when we can transform our personal histories into enchanting, inspiring works of art."
